I just purchased a 1990 Grady White 231 Gulfstream,<br />hin: NTLCY107A090, with what was proported to be a V-P 7.4L (454ci, 330hp) Duo-Prop drive system. However, I cannot locate ANY serial or I.D. numbers on the engine or outdrive. I've spoken with both G-W and Volvo and visited both websites but still I'm not sure EXACTLY what engine and duo-prop is installed. There seems to be too much play in the steering system components where the transom insert mates with the outdrive. I would like to repairreplace any worn or faulty parts before pressing this boat into off-shore use. I can provide pictures if anyone believes this would help. Thankx.
